  • Energy Statistics Mozambique
    Data on Electricity, Fuels, Natural Gas and Renewables in Mozambique for the period 2000-2006.

    I have collected these data together with my colleagues of the Ministry of Energy, in collaboration with the the Ministry of Planning and Development of the Government of Mozambique. Original data come from the Ministry of Mineral Resources (MIREM) of the Government of Mozambique, and the following companies: Cahora Bassa Hydropower, SARL (HCB), Mozambique Electricity Company E.P. (EDM), Mozambique Transmission Company (MOTRACO), ENMo, ELGAS, SASOL, Matola Gas Company (MGC) and Mozambique Petroleum Import Association (IMOPETRO).

  • LEAP Mozambique
    Available is the code for the basic version of the LEAP Mozambique energy model.

    The basic version of the LEAP Mozambique model has been developed in 2007. The code is available to anyone - just send me an email, and I send you a link to the file.  

    LEAP, the Long range Energy Alternatives Planning System, is a widely-used software tool for energy policy analysis and climate change mitigation assessment developed at the Stockholm Environment Institute. It's available here: http://www.energycommunity.org/

    Together with Gilberto Mahumane from Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo, I am currently working on a new version of the LEAP Mozambique model, including provincial detail, better methodology and new data.
